Three Frankfurt Families

Event location: Jewish Museum Frankfurt, Bertha-Pappenheim-Platz 1, 60311 Frankfurt am Main

This guided tour is devoted to the history of three Jewish families from Frankfurt over multiple generations. The Senger family fled tsarist Russia, stood for communist ideals, and survived the terrible Nazi years right in the center of Frankfurt. On the other hand, the historic rooms of the Stadtpalais tell the story of their former residents, the Rothschild family. How did they engineer their incredible business success? What was the nature of the civic, diplomatic, and social activities that made the Rothschilds the most famous Jewish family of the nineteenth century? In conclusion, the guided tour arrives at the interrelated Frank and Elias families, whose history comes alive for the first time thanks to a generous loan of objects and documents from private collections.

Group tour (90 min.): 90 euros plus reduced admission price of 6 euros per person;
Group tour (60 min.): 75 euros plus reduced admission price of 6 euros per person.
